The project focuses on the interface between science and policy in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and possibilities of quality enhancement in higher education (HE). The ultimate goal is to develop theoretical background about ESD innovation in the HE, critically reflect on existing strategies in this area, identify core principles of ESD competence development within learning processes ant to explore and develop new assessment tools. Situation in the Czech higher education will mapped and compared it with international trends. The project is funded by a Czech Grant Agency and CUEC is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project.
