As part of the project Support of information exchange and education about the impact of climate change and adaptation measures on national and regional level donated by the EEA Grants and Norway Grants a website Adaptation to climate change which should help to raise awareness of general public and preparedness of public administration to implement meaningful adaptation measures in the Czech Republic and Facebook profile have been launched.
A competition for The best adaptation measures of the year which is held under the auspices of the Ministry of the environment of the Czech Republic was also launched. The evaluation committee is composed of representatives of the Ministry of the environment, Charles University – Environment Centre, Centre for Transport and Energy, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, Integra Consulting, Masaryk University and Green Circle.
Adaptation projects helping to protect property, to save climate change impact costs and also protecting the environment could be submitted for the competition.
Project proposals should be submitted by 15th October 2015. The application form and more information about the competition can be found at www.regio-adaptace.cz.
