Between August ,23 and 27 the Charles University Environment Center hosted the UNEP Year Book 2011 Expert WritingWorkshop on Emerging Issues. This workshop organized by the UNEP and SCOPE organizations with the help of the Charles University Environment Center focused on three emerging issues for the new UNEP yearbook.
26 scientists from educational and research institutions from 14 countries participated in this workshop and discussed the following topics of the future chapters:
1. forest biodiversity
2. phosphorus shortage and food security
3. plastics pollution in rivers and oceans
